Consulting

Nathan J. Winograd provides consulting services to animal shelters, rescue groups and municipalities doing business as No Kill Solutions. He has worked, collaborated or consulted with many public and private shelters, municipalities, veterinary colleges, and organizations, including some of the largest, most successful, and best known in the nation.

At this time, consulting services are limited to three types:

1.    Assessments (review and analysis of existing operations);
2.    Executive recruitment; and/or,
3.    Seminars (conferences, workshops, training, and seminars).*

Samples of Project Results:

  • Washoe County NV: Death rates fell by more than 50% in one year, while adoptions increased by 53% for dogs and 84% of cats following assessment and recommendations.
  • Charlottesville VA: Death rates fell by approximately 70%, has been a No Kill open admission animal control shelter for three years.
  • Montgomery County TX: Death rates declined from 80% to 18% following assessment and recommendations.
  • Johnson County KS: Despite animal control contracts with 11 cities, adoptions increased by over 30%, transfers to rescue groups have more than doubled, and deaths declined by over 40%.
  • Delaware County ME: Deaths decline 53%.
  • Philadelphia PA: Deaths declined from 88% to under 40%, despite taking in 25,000 dogs and cats annually.
  • Shreveport LA: Live releases increase by 245%.
  • Tompkins NY: Has been an open admission animal control shelter with a 91% save rate or better for each of the last seven years.
  • And much more.

Please note: Due to a heavy project and travel schedule, No Kill Solutions is not able to respond to third parties seeking information. For projects done by RFP submitted by the agency itself, a fee-plus-expense based proposal is generated. After working with shelters and municipalities for a number of years, No Kill Solutions has developed a fair and equitable contract which is not subject to revision.
