Portland Animal Conference

What are our responsibilities to the other animals who share our planet?

Join me on October 1 in Portland, OR, for a workshop on building a No Kill community and a screening of Redemption, my film about the No Kill revolution in America.

My wife will be talking about embracing a plant-based diet. There will also be speakers discussing our relationship to the animals of the sea, to primates, and to others.

Sponsored by Oregon Dog PAC, the event is free and open to the public.

Please note: The film is safe for animal lovers to watch. There are no gratuitous images and while a couple of images may be difficult, it is ultimately an uplifting film about the hope, promise, and success of the No Kill philosophy. As the film demonstrates, we now have a solution to shelter killing and it is not difficult, expensive, or beyond practical means to achieve. No Kill is a humane, sustainable, cost-effective model that allows open admission animal control shelters to save all healthy and treatable animals, upwards of 99% of all animals entrusted to their care.
