Nathan J. Winograd is a graduate of Stanford Law School. He received his B.A. in Political Science & History from the University of California at San Diego where he graduated summa cum laude, with highest honors, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Nathan was a criminal prosecutor in Riverside County and Marin County.

He worked in corporate law in products liability class actions with the law firm of Hancock Rothert & Bunshoft, LLP in its San Francisco office.

He was corporate counsel and then Director of Operations for The San Francisco SPCA and a lobbyist for the organization.

He is the Executive Director for The No Kill Law & Advocacy Center where he has filed several lawsuits and written local, state, and federal legislation.

​Nathan is also an investigative journalist, as well as the award-winning author of eight books and a documentary film.
